I’m glad our nation has dedicated a national holiday to Dr. Martin Luther King. It shows just how far our nation has proceeded out of darkness and into the light. In my opinion, Dr. King is one of the greatest American heroes. He stood up for liberty and justice for millions of Americans even though it cost him his life. I’m just glad I got to meet him when I was a teenager. I tell of this experience in my book, “Talking Penny.”

I would say that like everything else, moderation is the key. Yes, the internet is a problem when it comes to pornography and children, but why arent the young childrens’ parents around? I think the real problem is no parental supervision. Also, we have to remember that even a young child makes decisions that lead to who they will become in later life. It could affect them in a positive way, though I would definitely steer more towards a negative way. I do not believe that children should have access to these things, at all! But, the real problem is parental, not technological.

And I completely agree with what Charles said about the “forced rape” part. A pornographic movie isn’t going to make someone rape someone else any more than Ozzy’s “Suicide Solution” made someone shoot themself. It’s a personal decision to commit such acts, and if someone as minor as a piece of media “forces” someone to do anything like this, then they were already going to do it, and they just looked for an excuse.

I agree with you. He was a great leader in my view but as a person he did a lot of things I would consider wrong.
